Welcome to Little Villagers
We are Livingston Village Out of School Care Project better known as Little Villagers, and operate an Out of School Club for breakfast, after school and holidays in Livingston Village Primary School. We are a self funding club which is registered in Scotland under Charity number SC035151.
We have been running since August 2003, and are growing year by year. We are currently registered to care for 51 children and are well regarded by staff, parents and the children who attend, this is shown by our numbers and at present we are running almost at full capacity with a waiting list for some days. The places at the club are limited due to restrictions of staff and rooms size. Places will be allocated according to the clubs selection criteria.
Due to the continued success of the club we recently appointed a 5th member of staff to help care for the children. The club prides itself on the wide variety of activities carried out over the year, all aimed at allowing the children to develop skills, build happy relationships at school and also have fun.
We focus on playing the way children like to play and this year have had activities ranging from - “Get down and dirty”, Tarzan Swings, Mok Wan, Gorilla Art, Highland Games and River Walking right through to Arts and Crafts, Movie Mornings, Pizza Making and Baking sessions.
The Club is available primarily for children attending Livingston Village Primary School however if space allows other children are welcomed to the club. Children who do not use the club during term time are also able to use the holiday club if we have spaces available.
We hope to introduce a Quiet Zone for homework, PC and hope to increase our numbers slightly with the addition of this new space. We will also be inviting all parents to regular Committee Meetings so feel free just to pop along. Further details will follow via text and email. We will also be having a regular time slot when a Committee member will be in the club to answer questions or talk through suggestions.
Please have a look around our site, you will find details of our opening hours, the team and all the forms you need to join, make changes and much more.
Keep in touch with ideas and comments - there are comment forms further on in the site and all our contact emails and phone numbers. Alternatively please feel free to drop in at any time.
