October 2011 Newsletter
Can you beleive that the October Holidays have been and gone, and now we are on the final countdown to Christmas!!! What an exciting but very scary thought. Little Villagers have had another fun packed month, and have done lots of fun and exciting things. We have just finished the October holiday club where the children participated in activities like Risk and Challenge, Baking, Soup making, sports, Halloween crafts, Talent shows, Children's choice, a trip to the cinema to name but a few. All the children had a really enjoyable time, and feedback from children and parents have been positive.
Wea re now getting organisedfor Christmas, and have now booked the Pantomine at the kings theatre to see Cinderella, the online booking has now closed, and numbers and payments have been confirmed, so we are now no longer able to take anymore late booking. All the children are so excite........OH YES WE ARE!!!!!
Other news to update parents and carers, our AGM will be held on Thursday the 27th of Ocober 2011, from 7.30pm in community room 2, all parents and carers are welcomed to come along. We would like to welcome three new committee members who have joned us, Mr Stead, Mrs Mackie and Mr Spence, and we look forward to their input into the club. We would also like to thank Amanda Sowerby and Fiona Fagan, who have recently step off our committee as the have served their two years,we all would like to say a big thankyou for your support and commitment over the years.
We have recently also appointed two new staff to the club, who should be joining us in November once we have their PVG applications confirmed. Holli Wilson is one of our new playworkers who will be joining us every breakfast club and afterschool session, Holli is fully qualified in child care, and is keen to complete a playwork qualification. Please introduce yourself to her, and likewise i will introduce her to all parents. You will notice from the previous newsletter we had appointed someone else in this role, but the circumstances changed and this did not happen. Karen Wilkinson will only be working with us in the breakfast club once Holi starts, as she is going on to do an open university diploma.
We have also appointed an adminstrator for the club, who will take on roles such as payroll, invoicing etc for us, Her name is Alison Hamilton. We welcome them both to our team, and hope the enjoy their time in Little Villagers.
